The airport baggage collection can be booked on Lufthansa’s official website. Choose your collection and delivery slots at times that work for you, from anywhere within our service areas.
It’s a place to pause, watch the action, and enjoy a great cup before the next departure. The airline offers a digital baggage tracking system that updates passengers on their luggage location and carousel information upon arrival. The company also offers free amendments and cancelation options. Opening from 16 December, we’re ready to welcome you for a calm stopover before takeoff.
We’ll collect them from the plane after you land, clear them through Customs if needed, and deliver them to your final destination at your chosen time. From the moment they are collected, our operations team oversees every step - every hand-off, every scan and every mile of the journey.

In some cases, particularly when bags are collected well ahead of departure, they don’t go straight to the airport.
Booking the service
The new baggage pick-up service can be booked on Lufthansa’s website up to 36 hours before departure. It is available for customers in the greater Frankfurt, Mannheim, Heidelberg, Hanau, Aschaffenburg, Wiesbaden, Mainz, Darmstadt, and Bensheim areas. For example, a passenger staying at a hotel about 7.5 mi (12 km) from Frankfurt Airport and flying to Atlanta will pay at least $26 (€25) for the super-saver slots.
This feature is particularly useful for business travelers and tourists looking to save time.
